The price of everything going, the shipping industry contributing to the problem

I know the article is one side of the equation and I'm sure that I could find an opposing viewpoint from someone else, but surely I have to believe something I find on the internet and the normal man in the street sure seems to be a lot more truthful than a huge corporation with a PR budget in the millions behind them. I just don't see an end to this at all.

I am in the industry and can tell you that the shipping lines are taking advantage of their being more cargo than container capacity right now. Freight prices are in some instances 10 times higher than usual.

The shipping lines have made losses in recent years but this was down to them building vessels with more capacity than cargo during normal shipping periods. They are milking the situation but it's no different to what airlines, hotels and travel companies due every year in the school holidays.
