I thought I'd mention this even though it might bring back bad memories :)
Anyone fancy sharing some memories or pictures of the day ? I had a great time until the match started

Did anyone else see the speed boat car ?

it was a basically a speed boat on a car chassis. Full of Boro fans.

Great day appart from the match, if only Vossen's strike goes a little lower.....No Charlton, no Karanka meltdown and we would be currently wondering whether the season would restart so Aitor and the boys can secure a third season of Champions League football 😉

My old uncle turned to me after the match as we walked down to the tube "Well that's it I'm finished with this place, never again. I've been here 5 times now and never seen us win, I hate the place"
I hope to get him there at the end of next season and see us win. Dad too.

It could be worse we could have been Mackems and been the last 7 or 8 times they have and lost.

Btw how miserable were Norwich fans after they won the game. I couldn’t believe how downbeat they were.

just look at us in contrast a year later 🥳
Delia was happy. I was demob happy after just getting home from sea and splashed out on staying in the Wembley Hilton. The thing is it was where the Norwich team stayed + all the associated hangers on. This meant the place was packed with celebrating people after the match FFS.
Ended up sat next to Delia Smith and her Mam and husband at breakfast the day after the match. Nice people. Delia had a lot of good things to say about Steve Gibson.

There is no worse place to lose a football match, absolutely felt like my guts had been ripped out, my 2 lads were heartbroken, no positives to be taken from a truly awful day,I would echo what was said earlier, the Norwich fans at Kings cross looked like they were on their way to a wake.

Same here walking back to the coach ***ed off saying never again

but the 99 in the car park was nice.

got home watched the local news and there we were walking past the guy doing his piece to camera.

Yep, I noticed that too, they knew they were going in to a league which is not about competiveness, just greed
