* The Original Unofficial "Official" Boro v QPR Match Day Thread *

Bola did well Maybe he can play the hackney role as his ball distribution was very good . I just want the season over for steffan as why didnt he stay on his line like i said the defence in front of him is saving him.

Ask Neil Maddison what Roberts distribution is like.. he’s said it a few times on Tees and said he’s not a patch on Steffen .. I’d trust his opinion more than moaners on here

Well he is our expert summariser after all.

It was also definitely a mistake. If he’s getting beat from out there his positioning is at fault.
Will have to agree to disagree. Quality goal by them. Thats why they took a high line to lure him out as any keeper would have done

Are you forgetting their first goal?

He’s doing the same things Lumley got absolutely vilified for, only difference is we’re winning so he’s getting away with it.

His positives outweigh the negatives by a mile, he's part of a winning team and winning style.

Roberts will also make mistakes, and what then? Ah yeah, the drop him brigade will be out in force again.

Can you give us next weeks lottery numbers while you’re at it?

In all my years watching footy, teams who go out with the intention of scoring goals like we are currently will always make mistakes.
Look in any league you care to mention and the expansive teams always give their fans kittens.
I'm more than happy for us to live or die by the sword we are currently wielding as it is paying huge dividends at the right end of the pitch.

I actually think steffen had a good game - the goal was a team positioning error - tried to push them too far up, means steffen steps up and Chair hit a worldie into the corner from 40 yards.

He claimed several contested balls - good near post save from Martin that could have easily squeezed in.
