The Masters Snooker.

He was a bit disrespectful to Carter....
'I wanted to see if he could get over the line'
Like he was conducting some sort of character experiment....

He's the best snooker player ever but rarely wins (or loses) with too much class.

Brilliant player but a proper d*ck in how he feels he needs to belittle so many of his opponents and garner attention for himself.

just finished watching the final on record.

I can’t put my finger on why, but I just can’t warm to Ronnie. Comes across as a proper t*t

Snooker is a solitary professional that doesn't hone social skills. Ray Reardon, Steve Davies, Eddie Charlton, Alex Higgins. All a bit odd really. Don't know if O'Sullivan comes across as better or worse than most, but the expectation in the modern world is of course that if you're good at something you are required to be a complete charmer also.

Yeah I do get that.i think it’s this version of Ronnie since he hit 40 that I can’t warm to. Constantly going on about how he doesn’t care if he wins or loses, when you know he i/ the most driven serial winner in the sport

The recent documentary gives a real insight into his personality and his psychological issues. He’s in a unique position where he’s carried the sport almost single handedly for over 20 years and is constantly being called the greatest ever while having ongoing battles with the authorities, other players and most significantly his own mind. It doesn’t excuse his behaviour but I get the impression recently that he’s becoming frustrated by the lack of genuine challengers and struggling to motivate himself when there’s nothing left for him to prove in the game.

If I watch snooker for more than 10 minutes its when he plays. He's magical at times.
However I don't really like him and haven't since he messed the 147 up on purpose because the prise money wasn't high enough for it. No thought of the people who had paid to watch him.

The documentary is really good and does explain why Ronnie is how he is. I would recommend all those who think he’s a d*ck to watch it.

I've seen it. It sounded like his dad pretty much rewired Ronnie, turned him into a winner against his nature which has left some visible scars on the way he talks about the game.
Wasnt his Dad banged up fof 18 years for murder when Ronnie turned pro at 17?
Ronnie has certainly fought his demons, is an incedible talent who admits to still getting frustrated that he still cant master the game!!! Very much the perfectionist. He has also ran a sub 35 min 10k!! I love the loon, who just says it as it is. He was correct in his coments after the game, thar Carter stopped taking risks, and that cost him the match

Love watching and listening to Ronnie. Snooker will be a worse sport the day he pots a ball for the final time.

His comments can be very degrading and he his very arrogant, but he can back up the arrogance because he is simply the best there has ever been and there probably won't be anyone anywhere near as good as him, naturally.

The way he just switches hands between shots as if it's nothing is just sensational.

He chose a more difficult red, with his weaker hand, than use the rest with his stronger hand, yesterday. Frightening really.

His weaker hand is probably better than most professional snooker players.

The bloke is a genius and if it wasn't for him, Snooker wouldn't have as many fans.

Do you remember a few years ago when he was criticised heavily for using his left hand and slated for being disrespectful?
