were you stood too near with your back to the Shire horses ?Apparently I had some $hit on my shirt walking around the Hoppings today
Look forward to renewing our rivalry one day
Should of just replied better than the blood of children.
And they double-down on it by saying that everyone else would do the same in their position.Really sad thing is an awful lot (but not all) of Newcastle fans have simply adopted the "couldn't care less as long as we are successful" attitude.
Absolute fooking whoppers.
Sadly, not all football fans are like minded and are very fickle when it comes to their football club. I wonder how many of our fans would look the other way and jump on the bandwagon. And they double-down on it by saying that everyone else would do the same in their position.
I can honestly say that if Steve Gibson was a child killer who assassinated journalists, I'd stop supporting Boro. Controversial, I know, but then I'm a bit of a woke liberal snowflake.
Well at absolute worst surely all fans would say “I support the club not the chairman”, but they don’t even say that. Majority of them are lapping this regime up like they’re the kings of the universe, purely because they spend more on the team than Mike Ashley did.And they double-down on it by saying that everyone else would do the same in their position.

Yeah, it could be an age thing but I'm honestly not that bothered about Leeds.Thing is , despite some of their vocal supporters and Sunderland’s going out of their way to tell us they don’t care about us, their actions suggest otherwise . You get the **** taken out of you if they find you’re a smog in the Tyne and Wear area (along with Durham) and no harm in a bit of banter . Not that it really matters anyway , at the end of the F***ing day I just want boro back in the premier league where we belong and doing well .
Which is why I find it perplexing some of our fans focus on Leeds so much . A club that genuinely doesn’t care about us and has all the Yorkshire and Lancashire clubs to focus on . Most Leeds fans down here look on boro white favourably
To me , the rivals have always been Newcastle and Sunderland and them alone. They obviously focus on each other in the main , but there is definitely a spicy vibe to them when we play them . I mean you can hear mackem fans chanting “we hate boro “ even when we’re not F***ing playing them
I don't think that's correct. The rivalry with Leeds goes back to the 70s I think we used to get bigger crowds at Ayresome against them than we did against the Mags and Mackems, maybe that was when we still had our 'official' Yorkshire roots
I don't think that's correct.
We played Leeds 6 times in the top flight in the 70s with an average crowd of 29.0k.
We played Newcastle 4 times with an average of 30.7k.
We only played Sunderland once in the top flight (1976/77), with a crowd of 28.3k.
The game against Leeds that season had a crowd of 24.6k.
The Newcastle crowd was 26.0k.
On a tangent, when checking this I realised that we haven't played Leeds in a cup competition since 1963.

Bear in mind Leeds brought far less fans than Newcastle/Sunderland back then.I don't think that's correct.
