Its comments like this i find reprehensible. They prioritised being out with a glass wine. My sympathy lies with Maddie.

Is it not true then??Its comments like this i find reprehensible.
I'm not having a pop at them it's my own opinion.Because they worked day and night and dedicated every minute of their lives to the search for their daughter. Raised money to keep it on the public consciousness and were relentless in their campaign. No better or worse than others in similar tragic circumstances but don’t criticise them for doing everything possible to find their daughter.
Is it not true then??
That’s fair enough. I just don’t like or trust them.Yes it's true, but it's the idea that they don't deserve sympathy that's very wrong. They paid a horrific price for a bad descion made a long time ago.
I'm not going to validate such an appalling comment by trying to debate it with you. Its a shameful thing to say.Is it not true then??
I reckon most people would be lying if they said they hadn't had a suspicion of that at some point.went through a period a year ago when i watched all the u-tube vids about body language, implied guilt and other creative yet believable theories and after a while getting drip fed the evidence i started to move towards there guilt.... I withdrew from watching and after a few weeks gave my head a shake and concluded if they were guilty they would have been found out by now...hmmmmmm
Agree Jonny, the not knowing must be awful. This sounds terrible but I'm sure part of them probably thinks her being killed shortly after abduction is probably one of the better outcomes. I mean the other possible scenarios of what could've happened are horrendousI think the rarity with which such things happen tends to lead people to the conclusion that her being abducted is so unlikely it can't be true.
But then there are scores of cases, all around the world, where the police have jumped to the most obvious - but incorrect-
conclusion, only to later discover the unimaginable did actually happen.
The Portuguese police made a mess of the original investigation, which was biased and not at all open. Many of these mistakes cannot be undone and its also set an agenda with the media.
Losing a child in any circumstances must be catastrophic, but not knowing her fate it incomprehensible.
There has been substantial prejudice against the McCanns, because of their upper middle class social status and thats absolutely wrong.
If they had been from a working class background I'm sure that equal prejudice would have prevailed, which would be equally wrong.
They are parents of a missing, most likely murdered, child - small minded prejudice has no place in this story.
Is this meant to be a sick joke?
that's whooshed over your head like an Assombalonga penalty
I think the fact that she hasn't been found so long after she went missing is more than enough reason to treat the investigation as a murder enquiry. The German police are treating it as a straight murder investigation rather than a missing person. I wonder what evidence they have uncovered?
There’s currently no concrete evidence to move it from missing person to murder caseI think the fact that she hasn't been found so long after she went missing is more than enough reason to treat the investigation as a murder enquiry.
I suspect the fact the MPS are labelling it as a missing person enquiry is, to a degree, influenced by her parents wishes. Either way I guess its largely irrelevant.
