It’s completely normal for English commentators to favor English teams in Europe, especially when it’s an ex player don’t you think? Nothing wrong with it.
I’m watching with Spanish commentary and they’re the same way about Atlético.
 
Well I hope Liverpool can find the 2 they need in last 15 minutes.
Atletico have defended brilliantly, but Liverpool have been superb tonight and should have had a bag full if you can put aside any petty rivalry.

At one time Liverpool seemed unbeatable & 4 trophies looked well in their grasp
With one defeat the previous season they looked odds on, the league Cup was the 1st to go then 4 defeats in 5 seen the FAC & now the CL fall by the wayside, the top division has eluded them for 25 years so they'll be chuffed with that one

Of course they will. When they eventually get handed the title in 2021
 
Great game. Both sides played well but Liverpool let down by the keeper.

Disappointed to see Liverpool go out to be honest. I also support the English team in Europe and I hate Simeone.
 
Simeone is great in my opinion.

He’s still never lost a CL knock out tie to a side that doesn’t have Ronaldo in it. 😀
