This isn't a best 100 players, it's a list of some big names playing for massive teams, weighted to who won the league that year. The list doesn't seem to reflect the current quality of the team they're playing in and how this is helping these players. Who were the judges?
I still think Messi and Ron are 1&2, they would both score more than Lewandowski in the German league, playing for Bayern, they both offer more overall too. The gap between these 3 is closer though. I would have Lewa further down, about 4-6th.
I don't think Mane is top 5, he's good but he's only top 5 as this is a British paper. Same as Salah, good but goes missing against big teams, not top 8 for me. I think Aguero and Sterling are better than both of these, and actually Firminho would be my first choice if it was a Liverpool forward.
Mbappe is the most valuable player in the world and certainly top 5.
Haaland is very good, but probably not top 10, not yet anyway.
VVD is the best defender in the world, by an absolute mile, he's mastered his position and should be top 3.
Benzema 12th? How? He scores 1 in 2 for Real Madrid, in the Spanish league and hasn't played international football in 5 years, and wasn't great before then either.
Zlatan is not top 25, not anymore, who would pick Zlatan over Stirling?
Vardy 35? Wtf....ahead of Aubameyang, Joao Felix, Dybala, Firminho?
Kante 55? He's still probably the best holding midfielder in the world, just playing for an average side
