You have to follow the story which I won't spoil but involves the girl quite heavily, the first episode is fairly true to the game down to even some really minor details like the road signs being the same.Watched the first episode today. Haven't played the game, never even heard of it before reading this thread.
How is it true to the game? As a player do you have to look for the battery? Crack the radio code? Rescue the girl? Is it that type of game?
After the intro. the first episode is very similar to the game - both the game play scenes and cinematic ones. I thought it also captured the bleakness / darkness of the game very well too - and the second game only got bleaker and darker!Watched the first episode today. Haven't played the game, never even heard of it before reading this thread.

There is a Fallout TV series on development for Amazon which from early rumors and such is heading for great things.Watched the 1st episode just now, certainly a very good start, I'm relieved more than anything. There's only really Sonic and Detective Pikachu that had good adaptations based on video games.
Yes massively so"You have to follow the story which I won't spoil but involves the girl quite heavily"
Im assuming the last two minutes of the first episode, when the guard scans them, gives a major clue to her importance.
That clip of the car battery gives a good insight into the game play.
I’m going to hate my first experience of a clicker on tvView attachment 51198
Great detail that if you zoom in at the shot at the end you can see a clicker
Think they’ll do the bloaters? You have to follow the story which I won't spoil but involves the girl quite heavily, the first episode is fairly true to the game down to even some really minor details like the road signs being the same.
If you're interested in the car battery...
The major change was the talk show at the start.
The game doesn't give you a rifle until much later and it's about resource management. Any time you get a gun you usually have sod all bullets and stealth is usually more valuable. Your flashlight regularly stops working. It's a survival horror game where actual combat is often deadly and although you can at times play it gung ho, it will often get you killed and it's easier to distract enemies and go round them as when they hear you they all come running.

Yeah, one of them. Have to say I’d not heard of her before, is she well known?I'm assuming Tess is a main character given that she's been played by Anna Torv?
