The Last of Us TV Show

Gay lad on your team 😂 is your best mate black? Classic. Aye Righto, I'm sure he did.
I work in TV production. Large proportion of my colleagues are gay, including some members of my team. My wife is black, since you’ve asked in your pathetic attempted straw-manning.

Leave it out lads you're spoiling what's been a great thread.

Another great episode this week. Final few episodes are going to be fantastic. I loved the part of the game that the next segment is based on.

Although if it includes the DLC I haven't actually played that so will be interesting to see.

Still a bit too much deviation from the game for my liking but it’s good.

If they were just going to copy the game note for note, what would be the point?

It's not like adapting a book, where it's limited by the reader's imagination, the game is already a visual story

Plus they need to create and modify elements ro cover the parts that don't translate as well from games to tv - exploration, reading notes, resource gathering, constant stealth etc

I'm really enjoying the way they've handled it so far.

I understand that but it’s the changes to the actual story I don’t like, such as Bill and frank and a few other things. They could have made some great TV with pieces they have missed out.

The stuff from the preview btw is definitely from the Left Behind DLC, makes sense that they would weave that in. Excited to see where they go with it.

Just watched the latest episode, one of my favourites so far I think.

Knowing what’s to come, I really can’t wait for the next one.

Ive not played the Left Behind DLC so I enjoyed this episode for what it was, giving us more detail on Ellie before meeting Joel. Obviously I wasn’t sure what was and wasn’t in the game, so does anyone know if you get to see the outcome of the bites in the DLC? I’m assuming the show will just leave it there as can’t see them including any more flashbacks in the next episode.

you don't see the outcome in the DLC, they agree to spend their final hours together. It's implied that's how Ellie became immune and it's the first person she killed

Not played that DLC before, but here's a side by side of the end bit:

I think it's better in the show.

Another episode I enjoyed, and I expect that it'll leave it to the imagination how it went after that, and you can see how desperate she is to prevent another person she loves dying.

I do worry that 2 episodes isn't enough to finish everything up for this season.
Probably could have done with another episode.

I wonder if they're going to leave it on a cliffhanger and do last part of first game in season 2. 8 is obviously going to be full of the storyline in the preview and I can't see them doing the rest in one episode

Ep 7, very good i thought. Its definitely redeemed itself after a couple of slow episodes to the point im not starting to look forward to the next episode, not quite as much as i did with GoT, BrBa and Dexter but it's catching me

Probably my least favourite episode. Probably my first 7.5/10. Still good and can’t wait to how
It finishes. Feels like they’ve blended the first and 2nd games already with where Tommy is

Yep should be a good last 2 episodes

Enjoyed it so far although my main gripe is how they ended Bill and Frank, most things in the game don`t have a happy ending and whilst in the game it was suicide it certainly wasn`t love between them both at the end

I’m still a bit disappointed in it to be honest, it’s probably my love of the games but I don’t think it’s anywhere near as good as I expected it to be. I may need to watch it again once every episode has aired.
