The Expanse Season 6

Without doubt the best Scfi on tv. Much better than anything begining with Star.
The sixth and final? series starts on 10 December
If you haven't seen any of it yet shake your head and get started now. Don't be put off by the slow start the characters are real people. The relationships are real. The science is real.
It builds and builds each season ends with you wanting more.
Look up the reviews and get started December 10 can't come soon enough

I've read the books and can recommend them too. In fact the final book comes out late this year too.

I cannot recommend the TV series enough. Perfect.

Wonder if they will make any more as can't see they covering the remaining books in the last season, but suppose the time jump provides a divide

I'm a proper science fiction nerd. I've not seen any of these despite hearing good things.

I may give it a go and should be caught up by December.

I take it's a slow burner to start with? Are all episodes / series available on prime?

Yes they are Disco. Go for it you won't regret it!

Looking at the preview I just hope it's not going to turn into 'goodies v. baddies'. Part of the pleasure of the earlier series (until the last one) was that you didn't really know either.

Just had to search for this thread....

It's not season 6 related but I will definitely be caught up by then as an Expanse 'newb'

Thanks for the recommendation. I started watching on Friday and halfway through season 2.

Cracking stuff. I'm suprised the effects are so good as originally on the SYFY channel. I'm just trying to avoid spoilers as very late to the party. I'm even considering reading the books.... Although they look a bit epic in size.

One Week to go!
If it lives up to the standards of the first 5 series then we are in for a rollercoaster of a ride. I can only recommend that you give this show a go you will not regret it

Brilliant television. I only watched because of FMTTM!

I enjoyed it but didn't enjoy the last series as much.
Without wanting to give away too many spoilers, the story of the small terrorist cell led by a charismatic leader doing an outrageous attack on an old bloated & faded colonial power was a bit too pseudo 911 (including the ethnicity of actors) for me, and the link to the main characters was unbelievable, of all the people in all the solar system etc.

I thought the development of the character relationships was excellent . Naomi with Philip and Marcos. Alex and Bobbie.
But the best was Amos and Clarissa. Amos was the star of season 5. His line to Holden in the final episode when Clarissa boards the Rocinante was comedic genius. Up to now l have had some sympathy with the plight of the belters but is this series just going to be goodies v baddies. I hope not.

As someone who has read and loved the books (the last one just arrived this morning) I think that they did a pretty good job at telling a complex story and sticking very close to the narrative established in the books. It's a shame that the TV series will end with this series. In the books there is a 30 year gap between books 6 and 7 so I guess it may come?

My major question with this series how they will work around the "Alex Issue"...

Do it, you won't be disappointed.

7 episodes in, quite enjoying it …not entirely sure what’s going on, but I’m sure it will drop in
