"It is by now clear that Russia is not doing a partial mobilisation, it is a full blown mobilisation being done in "stages".
The first stage seems to entail hauling 1.2 million men as fast and cheaply into the frontlines as possible.
So far they are getting some sort of Uniform, and some sort of a gun, and some ammunition. The "working" part of the guns seems to be an issue in some instances judging from the videos of severely rusted up Kalashnikov AK-47s and Mosin-Nagants that are nothing but death traps if fired.
The mobilised troops are otherwise given nothing. And with nothing I mean nothing.
No food, no water, no winter gear, no tents, no stoves, no armour, no first aid kits, no nothing...
Training? At best they get a rousing speach by a "commander" that has also been mobilised. The speach are along the lines of "Sod, we will al freeze, starve and then die". I have seen quite a few of those speaches, they are depressing to say the least.
After that the mobilised troops are taken directly to the buses for the front.
Some lucky sods get a day or two of training if they have a commander that is even **** bothered.
As they arrive they are kicked off the bus into fields and told to defend that spot.
Some are instead delivered to Contracted Units to replenish those can at least scavange the corpses for some gear.
The net effect of that is to dilute further the skill of the average unit soldier down to almost nothing. This is a good way of lowering the standard of a unit.
So, what would Volodja and Boris from Siberia that never wanted to be there in the first place do? They just wanted to continue their small lives of work, wife, kids, borstj and vodka.
According to Putin they should fight like mythical figures at the Battle of Kursk, but in reality they call the Ukrainians to pick them up. And they ask to not be returned. If they do not call they will be given 5 minutes of attention of a couple of Armoured Combat Vehicles, and they end up on the wall of dead meat. Trying to flee back to their own lines? Well, that comes with being raped by the Kadyrovites and then being shot.
It is no longer even remotely a fair fight. The soldiers can do nothing.
Those Russians that have the means and wherewithal leave Russia, these are now counting in the millions.
Some other out of desperation break their own arms and legs to buy reprieve from being sent to the frontline. Some hide in the forrests. I do not suggest watching videos of Russians going about their bone breaking business. Some even post instructional videos on how best to break themselves. No fun watching, no."
