The end?

Think it's already tipped. As has been reported numerous times by GS he's sat in his bunker playing war games with imaginary armies, being fed intel by his Generals that the Russians are "winning".

However, he is still in a position of immense power, no one feels confident making a move on him. His life choices are pretty much fighting a war until the end, or negotiate a peace deal and he ends up in The Hague. He's chose the former.

Exactly where this ends up with world leaders such as Putin and Trump ..... anyone's guess.
That's the positive.. his generals feeding duff info.ie i have 15k troops when in reality they have 8k and the general and commanders are pocketing the wages of the other 7k who are already dead....corruption will be the downfall hopefully

There are three new AD systems from Europe now (they are part of the reason for the high take out rate on the massive drone wave two nights ago. Hopefully more on the way .... as well as the US systems that are still to actually materialise. More Bofors 40/72 Radar guided barrel AD are in place now as well. A WW2 weapon that is particularly good against Shaheeds.

Some more stable partners for future project..

I'll forward that (the arctic article, not the GCAP one). It's a good overview from what I can see but, along with the EU base in the north, it fails to mention the key fact that the US has not a single ice breaker, nor the means to produce one. This would make operating in arctic waters impossible.

Edit: update on the UVDL no confidence vote. She won it, but required help from the social democrats, so expect a slightly more left leaning commission, and more focus on environment and climate issues. Which is a good thing. Probably not the outcome that the Greek and Italian fascists had in mind when starting the process. GS is pleased.

He is also rather chuffed with the more peaceful accord between the Azeris and Armenians, something he is taking some personal credit for engineering.

With Trump/MAGA in charge, the USA cannot be relied on at all. First, his dubious links to Russia and second what he pledges/ agrees today he will renege Monday.

Just let him get on destroying the USA, the EU (and UK etc) can go about their own business efficiently.

How long is she safe for and surely ending the war would have a major impact on environment and climate issues.

Massive missive withdrawal issues at the moment
He's currently too busy on a massive rant in my DMs. Mainly against Starmer, about whom he says "I have come to the conclusion that Starmer is way more of a Brexiteer than even FeBreeze-Schnogg is. If you look at what he is doing from the point of Brexiteer, than he all of a sudden makes sense. I seriously think he would rather be buddies with Russia than EU... I hear him talk behind the scenes, and see what he is trying to do behind the scenes. He is a brexiteer at heart."

Also ranting about Greece and Hungary ....

The U.K. - not in the EU who are paying the FM’s salary are probably the NATO member more deeply enmeshed in US systems, are trying to steer a course that offends as few folk as possible till the point in time they dont have to worry.

The coalition of the willing is clearly a parallel to the EU organisation the FM is heading up now. Permanent rotating HQ 3 star permanent head etc etc.

The U.K. can’t politically be seen as merging our armed forces in an EU organisation as much sense as that would or could make - the Reformers would have the fit of all fits and imagine every newspaper front page. so with our fellow European nuclear power we are playing our most potent cards tip toeing down the path of how far we can go before the US realises what we are up to & then and probably only then and especially if the economics is right does the UK really start to snuggle up to the EU to the extent that EUrophile Gen Sneaky would like.

I do think its quite funny the Sneaky Swedes home country won’t even sign up to the Euro but Starmer who can be voted out or dropped by the party is the bad guy.

The U.K. isn’t a malleable ex soviet republic looking for a big brother, the U.K. with its nuclear forces usually is the big brother. Different styles etc

All good but deadly fun.

Indeed, and I have had this very conversation with him ... most recently this morning. He's pro EU federalism and I am not really .... mainly because it leaves so many poorer people behind and at the margins. Hence us having Brexit, and the Greeks having a sizeable anti-EU movement, as a result of austerity being forced upon them. Spiro and Maria, with their 4 goats, 15 chickens and a small veg plot on a rocky Aegean island are probably going to have a hard time seeing what the EU is for. In their world, it just means high prices for everything.

On the other hand though, I think Starmer should be doing more to reverse Brexit's economic damage by coming to trade arrangements that remove duties and red tape again. And also improving freedom of movement to something closer to what we had before.

I also understand the protectionist argument against a full re-join ... our membership enabled the drive to a low wage economy, which is why the Unions representing lower paid workers were largely against it.

There must be some new strategy at work....:
In June 2024 it fired 580 rockets and drones at Ukraine; in June 2025 it was 5,209. On Wednesday it sent a record 728 drones and 13 Kinzhal and Iskander missiles. Most were directed at Lutsk, a city near the Polish border. Thursday’s 10-hour raid on Kyiv killed two people and injured 28. According to the UN, Ukrainian civilian casualties are at a three-year high.
