I had an exploding toilet this morning. It's my own fault, I knew I'd overdone it with the Chicken curry last night.

The "British" occupy a strange head space in the Russian psyche. Throughout the 19th Century the two great empires were the British maritime empire and the Russian continental empire. We clashed frequently, not least in Afghanistan and Persia. It was known as "The Great Game" as a lot of it was fought by proxies. And of course we would later hand them their rrses in the Crimean War. So when the American colonies revolted it was a case of "the enemy of my enemy". It is debatable how much of a difference they made, pretty much jumping onto the winning side, having considered helping the British as late as 1780.

T'was the French what done for us and helped the colonies gain independence.

It is worth noting that the full text of the Declaration of Independence was outlawed in the Russian Empire for many years.

Kindrativka and Oleksivka in Sumy are liberated again.
And Netanyahu is extremely pleased with the Houthi for providing him with a new war. They attacked a ship that started burning and is now drifting abandoned by the crew, and then they lofted a lonely little missile towards Israel. So now Israel is bombing Yemen. Both parties reportedly are very happy with the development.
Peru cancelled their order for Murican fighter jets and instead ordered 24 JAS E/F..... from a new factory in Brazil"

What is the tipping point going to be for Russia ? There doesn't seem to be any credible internal threat to him ( they would surely have had a window accident) . He must have access to US intel through his man in the White House so he must know about the imaginary armies . He must know he can't win the war but he doesn't feel he can declare what he's got so far a win ?
