The corruption is actually worse than we thought

This is quite incredible. This is corruption and there should be money reclaimed and jail time.

Not only did Hancock do wrong, he went to some lengths to try and ensure this was cleverly hidden. They know the system because they rigged it.

However, having skimmed through the legislation on nepotism and croneyism, I'm amazed to find that this is barely covered by the various bribery and corruption laws.

The British establishment are very proficient at dealing with corruption by basically legalising it for them.

Surely this is the kind of thing that needs to be scrutinised by a completely indepedent body and there should be repercussions for the corrupt practices carried out by the British Government? They are absolutely mired in sleaze and sadly, I bet we've barely scratched the surface.

The independent body is ultimately the judiciary, which is why they are under attack.

That said, they can only rule on the law. If the law is inadequate or absent on the matter then their hands are tied.

This will just be the tip of the iceberg, but not really sure why anyone is surprised. The expenses scandal told us what these people were like, and it’s still going on today.

Sad thing is.
I'm not even slightly shocked or outraged.
This is how parliament is.
It's broken and has been for as long as I can remember.
