The best concert/gig you've been to

The Wedding Present - Outlook, Boro
Shrug - Empire Pub :)
The Smiths - Boro town hall
The Darling Buds - Boro Poly
Suede - Boro Poly
Jesse Garon and the Desperadoes - Newcastle Broken Doll
The Stone Roses - Boro town hall
Blur - The Hacienda
The Charlatans - Manchester Poly
Inspiral Carpets - Boro Town Hall
Paul Weller - Boro Town Hall/Newcastle City Hall/Barbican
Mock Turtles - Boro town hall
Morrissey - Boro Town Hall/Newcastle Arena
Delays - Casbah Club, San Diego
Doves - Boro Empire

I'm sure there's a load more but I'm old now and can't remember!! Hard to pick a favourite!

Latest awesome gig was Tears For Fears and Alison Moyet in Newcastle a couple of weeks ago.

Probably The Blue Aeroplanes, the second time that I saw them. They were brilliant that night, and everything about that night was great. It was a cracking set, a brilliant atmosphere, I was with good people, and I got laid. You can't ask for more than that.

Too hard to think of a proper answer to this, I'd just list a load of possibilities from over the years. The earliest one that stands because it was 1st is Iron Maiden at the Town Hall. The last one that really stands out was Black Sabbath when they played Birmingham on the 13 tour, probably the best I've seen them play.

I saw the Delays in Middlesbrough. Not quite as cool as seeing them in San Diego though.

My absolute favourite was Galaxie 500 at Manchester International in 1991. They split soon after. Not seen any of their subsequent projects since then but am seeing Dean Wareham perform the Galaxie 500 On Fire album tomorrow in Leeds and Thursday in Newcastle.
Other favourites include Fanfarlo at the Westgarth, Dark Dark Dark at the Georgian, Jonathan Richman in a church in Newcastle and Gil Scott Heron at the Arena in Boro.

Top 3
Eminem - Tampa 2005
Watch The Throne (Jay Z/Kanye) - Manchester 2012
Wu Tang Clan - Manchester 2012

Live Aid - purely for the historical reasons.

The Undertones - with Feargal , Middlesbrough Town Hall.

U2, REM, Ramones, Billy Bragg - Milton Keynes 1985

Paul Buchanan (Blue Nile) - Sage Gateshead.

Vin Garbutt - too many to mention.

FLeetwood Mac in the late 00's in Machester. Classic lineup. Lindsey Buckingham was awesome and fell a bit in love with Stevie Nicks even though she was twice my age at the time!

Another great gig was a band called Iona, who you have probably never heard of. They were amazing - mid 90s I think.

Blondie were cool.

The last gig I saw was Nick Masons Saucerful of Secrets - playing the old psychodelic early Pink Floyd stuff, which I loved.

The one I regret not seeing: Big Country - with Stuart Adamson.

David Bowie,Newcastle City Hall about 1977
Michael Jackson at Wembley Stadium around 1988
Lighthouse Family Newcastle Arena June 2002
Thats my sum total.

Not sure of of favourite but saw James with full orchestra and choir at the sage a few years back
The clash at the town hall, as they say in early doors I wish I was there 👍

saw them a few times, once supporting REM who were fans of theirs apparently
