Question….has anyone seen this?

It’s on tv this week. Has rave reviews, and has won awards. It’s supposed to be really good. Apparently.

Now I normally like films with a bit of action. Star Wars, Bourne, MI, Hunger Games etc. Happy to watch slower moving films if there’s actually a plot of some description.

But from the million trailers I’ve seen this week, the plot seems to be something like this…..

“I don’t want to be your friend.”
“Why not?”
“I just don’t.”

Doesn’t sound like much of a plot to me. Can anyone let me know whether it’s actually worth watching? I won’t hold it against anyone if you say yes and I end up thinking it’s awful!

Yeah it’s good. A bit niche and deliberately slow in places, but it’s a good film.

I’ll think twice before flicking the bird at someone again. *winky
 
I thought it was good and a clever film, I left the cinema pretty satisfied.

My wife thought it was one of the worst and most boring films she'd ever seen, for basically the same reasons you've mentioned as your impressions from the trailers.

It is a pretty basic overall plot with very limited action.

I wanted to like it because I class ‘in Bruges’ as one of my favourite films but I just couldn’t get into it…

I stuck it out hoping it would get better but it was just meh! Not rubbish tho…

I do like Gleason and Farrell in other stuff as well..
 
It's a brilliant film. I didn't think I would like it either, watched it twice back to back. Some genuine funny and heartwarming moments in it.

I enjoyed it but I wouldn't watch any of that stuff you like. Maybe it's not for you but give it a try, you can always switch over.
