The 9am figures not disclosed yet?

Just a quick question that someone on this thread will probably know the answer to:

What do you do if you test positive in between jabs, are you supposed to wait a certain period of time before getting your second? I've heard people say you should wait 4 weeks.

This could potentially be a reason why vaccine numbers have dropped so low? If more and more are testing positive with their vaccine due, they're putting it off?

Could be. I hadn't realised that. Official advice:

You can have the vaccine 28 days after you had a positive test for COVID-19 or 28 days after your symptoms started, so you may need to wait.

Yes I was supposed to give blood the day after I first vaccination shot but was informed I'd have to wait two weeks from the date of the jab to give blood again.

It's PCRs that are reducing, not the Lateral flow tests. Euros?
One kid in my daughter's class tested positive Thursday last week. Sent reception and nursery home. No other further positive tests since.

Euro's? I don't know. More likely that parents stopped testing kids who weren't showing symptoms so they could still go on staycation.

I know of a couple of cases of that Randy.

You don't have to get tested if you get pinged you just have to (or are supposed to) isolate. So if fewer people are pinged, it doesn't mean fewer being tested.
Yes, I get that, but I would suspect people (as I would) would do a test straight away, if pinged, and log that (and thereby their contacts etc).

Numbers of newly infected down to 31,000 today - I don't think this is just a blip as its been down for 5 days running or due to the start of the school holidays, maybe some sort of herd immunity combined with high vaccinations is at last having a positive effect. The numbers have come down from over 50,000 per day. People to me are mixing and I often see people in shops without a face covering over the last few days. If Delta is highly infectious you would expect it to spread very quickly.

Surely a quick way to tell if there is a link between cases dropping and schools would be to check the number of tests completed? I seen something on Twitter earlier to say the numbers haven’t changed, can anyone verify that
