The 9am figures not disclosed yet?

So basically, whatever method of comparing our system to Germany you will reject. Yup, no surprise.

Can you point me in the way of the work showing covid is replacing flu?

Do you, personally, believe that maintaining social distancing and restricting activities doesn't have any effect on transmission of commutable disease?

I already provided laughing something to Google read up a few posts mate.

Nope not rejecting Germany just pointing out the differences can't help that they then impact conclusions.

You are missing my point entirely.
Meeting family and friends, socialising like we used to, working like we used to, travelling like we used to etc all restricted or outright banned in the battle against a virus from mother nature. But the world could instantly prevent a million plus deaths related to cars by stopping the use of them outright. But they don't. Same with preventing millions suffering from smoking related illnesses, they don't ban tobacco, why is that?
They never shut the world down before when we had serious flu outbreaks in the past.

We've all been psychologically controlled and people can't see it.
I’ve been restricted in what I can do, nobody has psychologically controlled me

but laws have always restricted what people can do

It seems there is statistical evidence that one virus will suppress another. It isn't well understood so whilst covid is rampant it will have an effect on AIF. How much is due to restrictions and how much to prevalence of covid - 19 is unclear.

You're drifting into tin foil hat territory now, you also give this government more credit it deserves in thinking it can control anything.

I'm waiting for governments to ban cars. Car accidents cause around 1.3 million deaths around the world every year.

But that would just be nuts.

Right?

Right?
Actually thinking about this. Randy I think you need to think about being less black and white about things. You can discuss restrictions without thinking your only options are total and complete lockdwon or absolute freedom. I think that's the issue you are having if you look at your use of the car analogy.

To explain. Cars are very deadly. Use of them is restricted though. We have special zones known as roads where they can be used. They also have restrictions on how fast they can go. My car would be lethal at full speed. Near me, its restricted to just over 10% of this speed for safety reasons.

If you can get your head round that, you can understand the argument isn't lockdown v everything open, but what shades of restriction are tolerable

So as I understand it you're saying those lives would not have been saved had they attended hospital, well blimey Gaz, guess we shouldn't bother calling 999 in the event of a stroke or heart attack.

Could you link me to your data as well, I'm always interested in the granular stats.

Anyway lunch over time to get back to work.

this is from the 7th August

That's not prior to march bear thats in march as the messaging to stay home and not go to hospital went fever pitch.
Gaz that's not granular data!
I.e. by heart disease, covid, cancer etc

Well you can go through the ons website and get the data input it you would like. The bar graph illustrates my point. Less hospital deaths but more people dying at homes vs 5 year average

And I think I should be allowed to judge the drink drive risk myself. It’s not like me doing so might have consequences for others...

:LOL::LOL: Can I play?

If I want to drive into a crowd of people, that's up to me. Yeah I fully expect you young people can get out of the way, but if an 82 year old can't that's his own fault, he probably would have died of flu anyway.
My aunties dog said her mate won the grand prix once, after 12 cans, driving a submarine, so I'll trust her over Lewis Hamilton, what does he know.
Passenger deaths reducing when seatbelts were introduced is just a coincidence.
People dying when being run over at faster speeds is just a coincidence.

Does anyone else think @Alvez_48 is arguing just for arguments sake? He seems to want to shoot down every statistic, every reasoned thought, every theory without being able to provide anything of himself? I honestly have no idea what he thinks on the subject as when I asked him directly he ignored the question. He just seems to want to argue

Ah ok so mustn't read it then even though it's just using data.

Rather than ignoring it because it doesn't fit your view take their evidence and dismantle it
