The 9am figures not disclosed yet?

And I told you the same. But if you want to treat Billy's stats as the gospel that's fine. I like to find my facts from multiple sources.
I'm not sure why you told me? I don't follow conspiracy theorists on Twitter and repost their theories as gospel. Unless it's a jokey joke I don't post anything on her form anyone I follow on Twitter.

All I'm saying is true to think more about your sources.

You know me Randy, I’m a numbers man. I report what they’re telling me at any point in time.

Nothing more, nothing less.
Billy Horner you have done a great job keeping us informed on a daily basis since the start of this virus, I’m sure I speak for many on here, I rely on your figures more than the mainstream media. But it’s also good that other posters are joining in with other stats and charts. The more the better in my opinion to help us understand what is going on.
Although the subject matter is not good, this continues to be an excellent thread. 👍

Why is it a conspiracy theory to you? What are you on about?

Not everything on Twitter is a conspiracy theory, so you shouldn’t dismiss everything in there.

I think it healthy that randy and alvez present their information with what I would call looking for the positives in relation to covid. They are looking for a way out of it when a lot of us Fear the start of an uptick ms etc

They are looking for a way out? or just repeating alternative views. the vaacine wont be found in an admin office, pub grub joint or here.

Well it's nice that although we often disagree that we can still come to consensus.

I know I sometimes post things that are a little mean to posters but I find some posts that blame others just creates division so I give them it back too, I am however willing to concede points in an effort to gain consensus and also apologize when needed. It does frustrate me that when you try to meet people halfway they then give you not an inch in return, as if they have smelt victory and thus don't need to consider opposing views.

In general I just want people to get perspective, yes this virus was worse than I originally thought back in March (in reality not by much given what we now know) but the resulting fear has given governments of any colour complete carte blanche on restrictions without any resistance. This is very dangerous and should worry all of us just as much if not more than the virus... Anyway, I'm beginning to rambles so I'll just finish with I appreciate your posts too @GazC_MFC

Just trying to bring some balance to the board. For all we know could be people on here absolutely terrified of everything that's going on, if some graphs and stats from different sources help calm them a little bit then what's the harm?

Today's headline analysis:

• 12,872 new cases reported in 24-hour period, up from yesterday's 6,968
• 7-day average for new cases increases by 15.6% to 7,249 per day, following 0.2% increase yesterday (and 40th increase in the past 43 days)
• 7-day average for new cases is 30.4% higher than one week ago (from 17.7% higher yesterday) and 101.5% higher than two weeks ago (from 81.0% higher yesterday and 85.2% higher 7 days ago)
• 49 new deaths within 28 days of a positive test reported in 24-hour period, down from 66 yesterday
• 7-day average for new deaths within 28 days of a positive test increases by 4.5% to 49 per day, following 10.3% increase yesterday (and 19th increase in the past 21 days)
• 7-day average for new deaths within 28 days of a positive test is 63.2% higher than one week ago (from 61.5% higher yesterday) and 154.5% higher than two weeks ago (from 180.5% higher yesterday and 186.5% higher 7 days ago)

The high number is possibly not due to undercounting from previous days. Extra positive tests will be added over the coming days. It's not clear whether today's figure is adjusted or just those over the next few days.

My take on this is that the 12,872 figure is probably correct and that the previous days' numbers have probably been too low. This is because they've actually quoted that figure as the number reported in the past 24 hours (usually, historical errors are just corrected in the cumulative total). Also, on the cases by specimen date metric, the numbers had trended downwards for a few days but have now jumped back up for the past three days.

They just need to fact check though. It seems there's some extreme confirmation bias happening. They post some really whack job stuff. You shouldn't dismiss everything on twitter but you SHOULD question everything. Given its a blogging platform. Randy and Alvez seem to see what they want to see and are unwilling or unable to apply critical thought to what they are reading.

Randy, Alvez I do wish you guys would just, given, you're viewpoint suggest a solution... Beyond, obviously, we all go on, and wrap Johnsons arms around the vulnerable.
