The 9am figures not disclosed yet?

That link is more than three months old. The Guardian has been saying this for months. Another example of how this Government has made dreadful decisions.

That article was last night's 'exclusive' .. it's decisions you sponsored called lockdown and turning the NHS into the covid only NHS.

It's things you and billy have specifically denied, in this thread!

The next stage of economic turmoil is coming hard and fast I'm genuinely worried about the safety of normal people in the next couple of years. I warned you of this since the start.

"The NHS must never again be a Covid-only service. There is a duty to the thousands of patients waiting in need and in pain to make sure they can be treated,” said Prof Neil Mortensen, president of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Disgusting that this ever happened in the first place and people went out and clapped for them like seals.

Can you please point me in the direction of one post where I have denied that lockdown didn’t have a wider effect on the NHS? Or even one where I’ve suggested that lockdown is the most appropriate policy response to the pandemic?

I’ll save you the trouble of looking, because you won’t find one.

I’ve said right from the start that lockdown only became necessary because the government acted far too slowly and allowed things to spiral out of control at the start. I’ve always stated that the most appropriate policy response is a comprehensive test, trace and isolate system (which we still haven’t got).

What I have done, however, is challenge your numerous postings which suggested that Covid wasn’t really that big an issue, that people weren’t really dying from it, that it was only having a similar effect to a bad flu year, that much of the population have a natural immunity to it, that the excess deaths weren’t caused by Covid, that the fact that we’re now having a few hundred fewer deaths than average means it’s gone away, etc, etc, etc.

In recent postings I’ve noticed that you’ve changed your tone slightly, and are prepared to admit that it’s real and has had an impact, so maybe you’re finally coming round to my way of thinking...

You're absolutely mental...
Plenty of evidence coming out that majority of excess deaths are due to lockdown (and will be as our lack of access to care becomes apparent).
Covid has repeatedly proven to have the same IFR as flu and yet you still peddle this bs about we only needed lockdown because we didn't take steps before then..
I haven't changed my tune, I've been proven right and it hurts because what do I get for it? Millions of people dropping into absolute poverty and thousands more dying.

Not once has anybody denied the virus exists.
People are questioning the the validity of figures and facts and quite rightly so. We are allowed to do that as a free population.

Laptop definitely given up the ghost I’m afraid. Bit annoying, as I hadn’t backed it up for a while either (only myself to blame though).

I’m away for a few days now, so I’ll try and sort something out on my return.

Do we think yesterday’s 1000+ reported cases was a blip? I know cases have been rising, but not that quickly
