The 9am figures not disclosed yet?

I suspect we will see a slow down in the drop in positive cases due to vaccine rollout mechanism and some of the support structures. Older people who are the first to be vaccinated are also the most likely to show symptoms and get a test. They are not going to lose out financially. Once those people are vaccinated you have the most vulnerable, most likely to be tested protected and, largely, removed from the testing pool. We are then left with those less vulnerable and more importantly cannot afford to isolate so keep quiet about symptoms or don't get a test so they can go to work and continue spreading the disease.

I think we may end up with background levels of infections until the vaccination programme is complete. Even then I think we will still get infections at a low background level, due to the take up of vaccinations being lower than required for herd immunity.

What we will see, I hope is a massive drop of in deaths compared to infections.

A significant drop in deaths again today. Hopefully, this trend continues and we could be in the mid 200's p/d and fingers cross mid 100's the week after.

My mum (early 60's) and FiL (Mid 50's) have both had their letters for jabs this week, so it's definitely continuing to trickle down the age groups.
