That Friday feeling once again

Good afternoon folks, hope you've all had a good week and looking forward to a canny weekend.

This week (or rather last Sunday) I discovered a new drink that is only recently released in the UK, a lager called Madri.

Usually I tend to be an ale drinker but have spells of dipping back into lagers again though I'm quite fussy with them. Anyway, having a couple of gentle pints with a friend last Sunday night I saw the local pub had a new beer on draft so gave it a try and was very pleasantly surprised - I urge you all to give it a try, I'm guessing it's likely to try and move into the premium lager segment and compete with the likes of Moretti and Stella etc.



I'm actually off to see The Wildhearts tonight in Newcastle and so not sure many on here would be overly impressed by them and so the musical floor is over to you good folks

I've noticed that loads of Spanish lagers seem to be cropping in the UK at the moment, seems to be a bit of a trend. Spain seems to be the new Italy in the premium lager scene.

The Eston & Normanby Club has recently started selling Madri and it’s lovely. Even at £2.99 a pint, in a social club!
