Thank you Steve Gibson - Warnock - well he’s now got the job he’s always wanted

Fao coluka are you there col ?

Now then Zorro, :D I am really really pleased as you can imagine. I have wanted him as manager for a long long time. As I said on another thread, he will soon sort out who is and isn’t up for the fight. Anyone promising 99% effort wont get a look in he will get inside their heads and under their skin. He has a very tough task and i hope succeed or fail, he is respected for his efforts. I believe we now have a chance and Stoke and Hull, along with Barnsley Charlton and Luton WILL be far more concerned than they were last night. I just hope we have enough of the gang of 6 willing to fight to the end, I am not so sure they do, which does limit Warnocks options, but if anyone can save us it is he. I applaud Gibson for acting as he has now done.

I am not a great lover of Warnock, but I do respect him for what he's achieved and hopefully his form at the Riverside continues.

Some years back, when he managed Sheff Utd, I was sat in the West Stand Lower and got into a bit of banter with Warnock. Warnock sat on the wall in front of me and continued the banter throughout the second half. Things weren't going totally his way and he was appealing for everything and I was getting into his ribs, with him coming back with a bit of crack - nothing nasty from either of us. At the end of the game he turned round and made a clapping gesture towards me and he accepted my wave back with a nod.

Not many mangers would have sat and listened to a home supporter. He's got a desire to be a winner and understands how to do it and what the fans need.

He is a really personable man and is not the guy many paint him as. I can honestly say that whilst he does not suffer fools gladly, he is really engaging, driven, encourages hard work, leads by example and sets a high bar. He has great self belief and his directness is often unfairly misunderstood for arrogance and abruptness. He is a talker and happy to engage in a bit of banter as you discovered. For a chiropodist, he has done ok in the football world. I hope if he keeps us up he will stay on. Blackwell is a good lad too and Warnock‘s trusted assistant, has been, much of the time since the days he was his keeper at Scarborough.

Love the photos on the club website. Looks likes took his time to go upto everyone individually as well collectively. I’ve got a good feeling about this.

He’s Already done a press conference as well. I like how he drove up to take the reigns on day one that’s impressive he only got the call last night.

that’s speaks volumes.

Like I said, he will absolutely give everything, his work rate is infectious, he sets good standards and high bars, I guarantee everyone behind the scenes will love him, including the tea ladies, cleaners et al he has a really dry sense of humour.
