Thank god for NHS

As someone who had shoulder replacement surgery in the USA I also agree with your statement. The whole process centered solely around health insurance and my ability to pay.

Even when at the bottom of the ski-slopes, in the resort hospital, in obvious agony, upon hearing my UK accent the nurses first words were a surly "we dont take holiday insurance, you'll have to pay and then claim it back". When I told her that I lived in the US and therefore had health insurance her mood changed, and she immediately set to work assessing my injuries.
Sounds about right. When my wife had a herniated disk in her neck replaced, she got a private room as a perk because I worked for the hospital.

Good luck with your shoulder, sounds a nasty injury

The Tories, and by definition those that support their policies at the ballot box, are trying to get rid of the NHS.

It's time the Tory voters on here realised what they were voting for

We'll miss it when it goes. The current mismanagement is unforgivable. I know someone who very recently waited an hour for an ambulance after having a stroke.
