Teesside Together - Tickets for next home games

£140 is a lot and I do have some sympathy - but I bet that is typical for a club the size of the Boro - I know people say the Teesside area is low income, but unfortunatley we can't say that to the agents of South American forwards and get anywhere.

I have bought a nice Teessiders top for £16 as I resent paying £48/£50 for an official top I will not wear a lot but I am not 10 years old etc and the pressures they have to have the right brand.

Hence the high price for Boro match tickets?
Possibly a contributing factor - if you went on SEE tickets now to buy a ticket that costs £29 you'd pay £2.90 fee per ticket & a processing fee as well which makes Boro's £1 per ticket seem reasonable.

Its possible to have different options for fees with different agencies and the bigger the promoter/organiser the more options they will have. I'm going out now but will try & screenshot some of the different options available later.
Image 1 - the booking fee is passed onto the purchaser.
Image 2 - the promoter absorbs the booking fee.

I'm running an event which I will need to sell 60 tickets in a 100 capacity room to break even on costs of £900 so I set ticket price at £15 and pass the ticket admin costs onto the buyer which works out at £16.35 per ticket.

On the second example I would now be losing £1.27 on every ticket sold and to get that back I would have to increase the ticket price to £16.35

You would still pay £16.35 on the 2nd option but possibly think you are getting a better deal because you haven't paid a booking fee. Either option I still get the £15 per sale that I've worked out I need and the ticket agency still get £1.35 per ticket sold.

However you do it the ticket agency still get paid.

I used to think the strips for kids were a rip off but when I see how much wear they get out of them they turn out to be pretty good value for money. I've a bigger issue with the fancy clothes that grandparents spend money on that they wear once on Christmas day and then they sit in the wardrobe for the rest of the year.
