COVID-19 updated bus services in Tees Valley

Owing to increased demand and change in Government advice, updated timetables will be in operation from Sunday 31st May 2020 across Tees Valley (Middlesbrough, Stockton, Darlington, Hartlepool and Redcar and Cleveland).

Passengers will be asked to stay apart as social distancing measures are still in place for those who live in different households. For up to date timetables and changes on public transport due to COVID-19, visit Connect Tees Valley's website: www.connectteesvalley.com/news.asp

To help keep the buses safe, various measures have been put in place which passengers should be aware of:

  • Keep your distance from people not in your household.
  • Look out for ‘BUS FULL' signs - social distancing has resulted in lower maximum capacity on board, if this sign is visible you may not be able to get on.
  • Take a window seat, avoid standing and leave space in front and behind you.
  • Whichever face covering you choose, wear it on the bus if you can.
  • Wash or sanitise your hands before and after your journey.
  • Pay with Contactless or a pre-paid travel pass where possible.

Connect Tees Valley will continue to review these methods in-line with government advice to keep both residents and bus drivers safe, please avoid peak times or consider walking or cycling where possible.
