Barnsley play a pressing game and jump on the opposition. Strenthening the middle rather than employ wing backs is hopefully the correct tactic
 
I think it'll still be wingbacks.
If we do change formation, I think they'll work on it during the international break.
 
I'm suprised Bola is in because he can defend. A few goals come from his side in the last season . That said to get him playing saves a few quid.

It's a fine margins game. I think a win going into the break and it's been a great start. Anything other than a win and we sit on this for 2 weeks.

I know Barnsley beat us but they've not scored in the league (we only have 2😂). The kind of game you'd see as very winnable.
 
Don’t think it’s wing backs otherwise he would of just kept Johnson in. Could be wrong but it’s almost certianly looks like 442/4312 with Tav in the hole for me

Barnsley beat a Boro team that will not ever feature again.
I know it won’t be admitted but Boro fielded a weak team that day so they didn’t progress and waste time and money going to Chelsea in the next round.
Boro will be a different team today.
2-0 for me.
 
No width in the starting 11 and our left footers are on the bench.

Bola has been poor since he came and we have struggled when he has played. As said I hope he can redeem himself.

I am glad Morsy is in as he looked effective when he came on against QPR.
 
Johnson has been rubbish for a good few games now, he may just have been dropped to give someone else a chance in his position.
Warnock alluded to a few players not being up to scratch lately, and in the next game he's dropped Spence and Johnson, who I think have been our weak links lately.

I'd prefer it to be 4 at the back, so I hope I'm wrong.
 
We can’t be surprised if Johnson and spence have been dropped as they have been poor since the start of the season. Coulson may as well look at his options though if he cant get in the team in front of bola though.

hope it’s 4-3-1-2 though and we haven’t ditched the two up front so early
