I've seen a lot of people saying they though he would bring Fry straight back in, so not that much trust lol.

He was immediately dropped for Lenihan after the last start and clean sheet, I think it was a fair assumption.

Though I suppose the difference is that Fry was missing because he'd had a bad game, Lenihan was injured.

It's good psychology too. Train well, be a good pro, get your chance play well, keep your place.

Must be nowt worse than a player coming in, playing well then dropped as soon as #1 player is fit.

Fry was missing because he was sent off against Sunderland.

That's people's prediction, based on the facts they have which won't be as expansive as the ones Carrick has at his disposal.

Plus I don't think anyone said they wouldn't trust Carrick if he took the other option of the two.

I think McNair suits the way Carrick wants to play, albeit Fry is a better, more solid defender.

Given the opposition and the fact were at home I'm not totally surprised by his team.

Yeah, I know.

He had a ***** game, and was also sent off.

Lenihan hadn't done anything to deserve dropping, he just picked up a knock, so maybe that was Carrick's reasoning for reintroducing him immediately even though McNair was fine as a stand in.

But this time, Fry had a stinker, McNair didn't, so he's allowed McNair to keep his place.

Yeah I know. Wasn't meant that seriously. Looking forward to seeing good win.

If he hadn't been sent off I doubt he would have been dropped against Watford though.
McNair did well so keeps his place but not because Fry maybe had a bad 50 mins or so against Sunderland.
