Team to play Millwall?

Not playing Crooks from this squad would be a mistake.
Our back 4 should be good enough against Millwall at home - McNair in for Lenihan if required.
Hackney and Howson pick themselves.
Akpom, Archer and Jones/Forss behind Crooks for me.

That could work for pace and height. You lack mcgrees creativity in there though, you're relying on Hackney to do the Leadbitter role

The thing is they are strong in the air so losing lenihan and dropping crooks would be a huge gamble as crooks would definitely help out in defence if required !!

What about Akpom v Tav?

Steffan, Riley, Akpom, Giles - make the 2023 team a bit stronger than last sseaon's team against Millwall at home. I assume we play the same team we did against Brighton.

I don't disagree that we're stronger now, it's just that line up wasn't really representative of our first choice team

I was super confident of the win today but now lenihan is not playing I’m a lot less confident and he’ll be a big miss (hope I’m wrong) but McNair doesn’t fill me with confidence in a back four and millwall would’ve presented a tough challenge with our first or best 11… 🙏🏻

Absolutely no chance Jones will start. Probably same eleven from Brighton with only possible change being a start for Archer
