Yeah, McCabe is still a bit of an unknown quantity really. I thought he looked good against Blackburn in the cup game last season, and he had a good game against Rangers, but we haven't really seen enough of him yet to judge whether or not he's ready to make the step up. Carrick managed him poorly. I do accept it would be a risk starting him vs Swansea.

I agree that Kante is comparable to Morris in the sense that he's played a decent number of professional games, so personally Kante and Morris would be my preferred midfiled pairing for the game.

Any word on Mcgree. Have not heard too much recently really hoping it is nothing too serious and he will be available this weekend?

Edward's seems much more transparent on injuries than Carrick was - so far anyway.

McGree "could be available for the start of the season" - so I don't think he'll feature this weekend, and probably won't start vs. Swansea but it doesn't sound serious.

On last night’s showing 3 of the 4 ‘senior’ players are not good enough - and the 4th only scrapes onto the bench for me

Not seen enough of Silvera to know if he’s improved

Clearly signings are needed

Based on what we have that would be my line up but I think Ings will be in by then. How he fits into the line up with Conway will be interesting.
 
It depends on how fast we can get the Hackney deal sorted really, if the rumours are to be believed the dominoes will start to fall from that point. Callum Brittain seems to be coming regardless but those attacking pieces of the jigsaw could be in place by Swansea and if that happens the starting XI will be anyone's guess.

If Sulc arrives in time, he may well start in front of Burgzorg.

If we get a LWB in i think they'll go straight in.

Id be shocked and disappointed if Barlaser starts. I think he's more likely to go with McCabe at this moment.

Even if Ings arrives, Conway will start.

I don't think Edwards sees Borges as a viable lwb, thank God.
He's back up left centre back and that's it. Silvera would start LWB if the squad was as it was now next Saturday.

Knew were not gonna be starting Barlaser ahead of any of the other midfielders. Currently 5th choice and rightly so. Hopefully he sold.

Telling that he never got on at all yesterday.
