After Saturdays debacle have to return to wing backs.Would also have Howson in a back three and add some pace with Spence Tav and Roberts.Do it now rather than when it's too late,granted it might be too late anyway.

Would be happy with that and equally happy if he plays Assombalonga rather than Tav and goes 3 4 1 2.

Saville is a must start for me. Let’s see if Woodgate can do the right thing and pack either that team or very similar.
 
I thought I knew how our management team thought about the overall ethos of the game but after Saturday I’m not so sure now.
 
Have to include the young wingbacks, they were the driving force in our success earlier in the season. Pace & Energy.
I'd be happy with the line up suggested but I'd prefer Wing in there for his goals.
 
Drop McNair from the OP's side and play Assombalonga.

I'm not a huge fan of wing-backs, but we rarely do well with any formation now.
Spence and Roberts inarguably improved the side when they came on, they need to start.

I'd start with this team. McNair and Savile in more of a holding role while Spence/Coulson bomb on with Roberts free to attack through the middle.

I do like that side. Do I think he'll play it? Nope!
 
We are all in agreement on the type of side we would like to see us put out, can’t wait for 2pm on Saturday to find out how wrong we all are and how disappointed we are.

Has to move Coulson back to LB, Friend is a disaster waiting to happen most of the time but when hes lacking match practice he is somehow even worse.

I think the back 3/5 is a must. The only fullback we've got is Friend, and he hasn't got the pace and energy to play that role anymore. so we have to play with fullbacks.

We need some goals on the pitch, get both Britt and Fletcher in to make stoke keep 3 back at all times. Add the pace of Coulson and Spence and skills of Robert and we can cause some problems. Still got Tav, Saville, Nmecha, Johnson to come on too.

Just a thought have we switched to this more defensive system to be easier to fit George back into. As coulson isn’ta left back and never will be. He is however an incredible potent wing back.

Surely we aren’t going to go back to friend howson full backs combo when e we have seen how dynamic coulson and Spence can be.

I just don’t understand why you’d go back to what we struggled with earlier in the season

Can't see us clean-sheeting our way to safety, so I'd rather we 'hope for the best' at the back and at least attempt to implement some sort of attacking intent at the other end.
