We can not play with one forward at home. EVER
 
Derby home needs to signal more intent and aspiration. Look for a team that can play football rather than hoof it.

Bettenelli ( play it out from the back and stop launching it every time and concede possession - horrible to watch

Djiksteel Hall Fry ( all good on the ball let them play out and drive forward)

Morsey

Howson McNair. Savile Johnson

Watmore Roberts

No recognised forward as what we have in Britt and Akpom are simply awful and disinterested so give some new faces a chance - that will mean we can’t just hoof it up from the keeper every time - would be a nice change.

Tav is headless chicken of late , similar Spence - loads of effort but rarely an end product. Time for some time on the bench.

We have the nucleus of a good team but we won’t get anywhere near our potential if we can’t score goals - UTB

Or play the same team as today but with Tav and Roberts on the wings, morsy in the middle.
 
I'd go old school and play 442 and really get at them. Something ain't right at Derby and times to go for the jugular.
 
I think we should go to a back 3, we are just too weak offensively with Johnson and Spence supporting a lone striker

Johnson just isn't good enough to be a 1st choice winger in a 4-3-3 at this level, he's a competent 'wingback', but as a dedicated winger he is just too limited at this level
Spence is a full back/wingback, he's improving but he's not a winger and probably never will be, his crossing is so hit and miss
Akpom just isn't a spearhead type of striker, he's a hard working pressing forward but struggles against physcial defenders

Wingbacks again, and 2 up top or 1 striker with Roberts coming in off the right allowing an overlap from spence

I just think the wide options we have, we don't have the wingers that Warnock wants, he wants his wingers to also be a defensive shield for the fullbacks, and is playing guys there
First and foremost for their defensive contributions and not their offensive ones

Either that or play 3 ball winners in the 4-3-3, i.e Howson, Morsey and Saville in the 3 and use our 2 'offensive' wingers, i.e Roberts and maybe Watmore supporting the number 9
 
Drop Spence, play Roberts there instead.
That's the only change I'd definitely make.

I'd not be against bringing Morsy back in, but even with his wasted chances I don't think I'd replace Tavernier so I don't know.

As far as I can see, there are no Red Button matches next week.

Bournemouth v Forest on Tuesday.

Bristol City v Watford and Swansea v Sheff Wed on Wednesday.

Not sure why, might be at the clubs' request with money being tight.

It's a really exciting prospect tonight.. We will see Neil's true belief in the side. We're all thinking let's go positive. Will he believe the same?
