Team for Bradford..

Fairly strong, but a few getting a rest

VDB might not be fit, but rest him anyway.

Engel needs to get used to the pace of English football, this is a good chance to give him another go.

Need to win to build a bit more confidence. It’s send us back to square one if we lose to Bradford.

I’d like to see Lath given a chance and McNair, Rogers and Barlaser probably need a bit of game time but I wouldn’t start all of them.

In fact Smith will start and I’d start two others of those above

I want us to go as far as possible in this, a mixture of first team and other will probably happen. I like to see Lath playing off or behind Coburn, or if Coburns is everyone's favourite player now and they want to see wrapped up in cotton wool, then I put Greenwood just behind Lath up front.
Put O Brien in Central midfield and bring back one of the left backs, hopefully Clarke is maybe ready to have a run out but he won't play the full game if he does.

We have to play the fringe players in my opinion... Rogers, Silvera, Barlasar, McNair, Lath (not really a fringe player, but seems he was dropped for Coburn).
I'd introduce Gilbert too - if he can't play in the cup vs. a lower league team, when is he going to play?
I also think Smith has to play for match fitness, and Engel needs to play to get some confidence back.

A few younger players on the bench.... Bryant Bilongo, Nathan Simpson, Terrell Agyemang and Sonny Finch.

These seven MUST play imo..

Glover
McNair
Engel
Barlaser
Silvera
Latte Lath
Rogers
I would prefer him to play the majority of the players who played Saturday to get another game playing together and try and build some momentum. If he plays the players you have mentioned, even if we win, most/all of them would be back out again Saturday.

Maybe rotate 2 or 3 players to get a couple of fringe players involved. Players he plans to use in the first team regularly. But I don't see the point in playing Barlaser for example if there is no intention in playing him in the league. Would be nice to see Smith get minutes in if he's fit.

Full strength, fitness permitting. Maybe Smith and Greenwood in for van den Berg and Jones after Saturday’s exertions but for me it’s about momentum now. We need to keep winning.

Give O'Brien another shot at LB whilst he gets used to the role. Give Coburn another start to build his confidence more and maybe he gets a goal or two.

Carrick said something about the games coming thick and fast.. recovery times and having like for like players n the squad.. it does suggest a bit of a switcheroo from the team that faced southampton..

Dieng - Glover

Van Den Burg - Smith
Fry - McNair
Lenihan - Clarke? Bilongo?
O'Brien - Engel? Coulson? Bangura?

Howson - Barlaser
Hackney - Stott? Agyemang? Bridge?

Jones - Cartwright? Gilbert?
Crooks - Rogers
McGree - Silvera

Coburn - Latte Lath

Is Forss still injured? What's the deal with Coulson & Engel?

I'd cotton wool a few I think.
Howson
A centre back ( if VDB injured )
Jones ( esp if forss still injured)
O'Brien ( esp if Bangura still injured)
Crooks

Not picking up injuries trumps momentum for me
