Kane really needs to pull his finger out though. Sancho first attacking sub if things aren’t going to plan.

I’m more convinced about my pre-match concerns that we won’t progress very far. If we play out a boring draw against the Czechs, at least we have a fighting chance to get through to the Q/F by finishing second. We ain’t getting through if we finish top and end up playing Portugal/France/Germany.

Grealish must start next game. I’d drop Sterling. Kane has been awful.

Kane, Sterling, and one of the midfield duo out.

Rashford, Bellingham and Sancho in.

We're not moving up the pitch as a unit, the lads at the back have got to push on, push the midfield closer to the forwards and not hang about on the ball.

Walker was shocking against Croatia - not even in the 23 tonight! Wouldn’t have him anywhere near the starting 11

pickford

trippier mings stones chillwell
Hendesron
Mount Grealish Bellingham
Foden Calvert Lewin

We have to swap out Kane and Sterling.

Sterling worked his backside off, was busy and skillful as hell, but was devoid of his usual unlocking inspiration.

Kane looked like he was playing to be dropped. Does he want a transfer to another country?

I must have seen a different game of you thought Sterling worked his socks off

He barely broke into a sprint in the full 90 mins… his first touch was devoid of any sort of skill and usually either missed the ball or immediately lost it to a Scotland player

I thought Phillips had a really good game against Croatia but tonight looked like a poor mans Adam Clayton. We need a bit more forward thinking in the midfield.
And here is a perfect example of how reactionary football fans are generally speaking (all of us including me).

Last week he’s virtually hailed as a National hero, this week he’s not good enough for Birmingham City.

Tonight’s result was poor but it’s not actually that important. Last 16 was always going to be tough whoever we got and it still will be.

I usually see a different game to most people. I may be broken.

I don't think it was a case of Phillips being poor, it was more down to the combination of Phillips and Rice not being right for a home game against Scotland. I can see why it worked against Croatia and not against Scotland.

Hindsight's a great thing but it should have been one of either Phillips or Rice alongside either Mount or Bellingham.

I’d play Bellingham over Rice, Philips did well against Croatia but have not seen anything from Rice to justify keep playing him.

The front 3 needs changing as it hasn’t worked, Sterling or Kane need to be on the bench to try someone else. Has Kane had a shot on target in the 2 games?
