Tattoos

I think some look great, others look terrible. I think it's all about what you get and where you place them. I've seen some incredible tattoos over the years that I've thought look absolutely brilliant. Then you see stuff like the picture someone posted above with the cat on his belly, just stupid!

If you don't like tattoos, just don't get one and leave everyone else to do what they want, easy really.

None of my family have tattoos, and I don't think any of my friends or close work colleagues do, so it's not something that's ever been on my radar.

I think my parents generation still see it as a sign of someone being "rough", but that's a pretty old fashioned mentality. Like anything similar it's no business of mine what other people do, i couldn't really care either way if other people have them and i'm sure they aren't bothered either way whether i think they look good or not.

Is that a joke?

Do you think interviews comprise of one question?

What a foolish thing to say if you are being serious
Of all the questions to ask in an interview, when you do have a limited amount of time, I cannot think for the life of me why you would choose to ask that one.

It should be, yes. Sadly @Osboro will judge you and insult you for it. Which is a shame.
Where are the insults? A lot of people taking umbridge but I dont recollect making insults to any one.
I think the worst thing I said about tats were that they were a stain, ,I think thats in the dictionary under tattoo, ask Lizards.
If you read my posts most of them were questions, some have decided that not only was I judgeing but they had read my judgements.

Thanks for the education but I was already aware of the history or Tattoos , I wasn’t referring to the actual tattoo but the style.
I can remember in my circle of friends in the 70/ 80s only1 had professional tats.
There was only one Tattoo Parlour ( showing my age now, do they still call them that?) in the whole boro area. All fashions wax and wain and it seems to me that it’s highly likely that we’ve reached the peak , as one poster said, by the time your in your 30s a Fiat 500 on your leg might not the best of choices.
Maybe I am a judgmental boring old fart.Or maybe I mix in different circles.
Its the permanence that bothers me ( although With some tats the permanence is the thing, I get that).
I just remember seeing a bloke who was obviously a big guy in his youth, he wandered up to a beach bar in Greece with a Arsenal tat on his floppy man boob, the badge was now about 1 inch wide and 5 inches long, fab.
And anyone who thinks the sleeve will always look good and wond blend into a blue mess is sadly Deluded.
Tbh it sounds like you just hang around with people that have embarrassing tattoos and frequent chavvy dive bars in holiday.

Sleeves can be touched up and I wouldnt really care what something is gonna look like in 40 years as long as I’ve enjoyed it

got my tattoos done when I was 18-25 and 42 now and zero regrets

see more and more tattoo places opening up and the artists I know are busier than ever and raking it in with long wait lists but they’re probably not the sort to tattoo your mates so suppose your view would be a bit different 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ah the old fart in a lift argument. A classic message board trick. I guess you have “won”. Congratulations. It doesn’t change how bad and judgemental you have looked in this thread but I guess your arm was simple to win the interwebs. Kudos

Tbf when we are all 80, I don’t think our bodies are going to look spectacular regardless of ink or not. Luckily all of mine are on areas that don’t go too saggy so I’ll be ok!

What? What a load of nonsense , but having noted some of your posts I really should not have expected any differant.

I would be willing to bet that you do indeed know someone with a tattoo, and that they appear to be a normal person.
Well thanks for selectively quoting my post.
I didn't say I don't know anyone with a tattoo. I also clearly indicated I have no problem with them.
But no, none of my family, friends or close work colleagues do.

I've been thinking of getting a boro badge on my calf. I think my preference would be for the 1986 badge but i'm a fan of miniboro's re-design too, thinking maybe that will look better as a tattoo.
