TalkSport... again

Bloody White and Jordan again suggesting Carrick could be off in the summer regardless of if we get promoted or not. Saying there is 'a lot of noise' about him and West Ham.

The noise is purely coming from them! They're doing the same with Kompany and Burnley, asking if it would make sense for him to jump ship so his reputation isn't diminished if Burnley struggle next season.

I don't see the issue myself? Maybes a compliment to how we have been doing?. There's been some good managers in the Championship over the years but so far, I think Carrick and Kompany have done exceptionally well so these links are always going to happen.

I have a real love/hate relationship with talkSport - I have listened to it since I did work experience in a tackle shop in Linthorpe in early 2000s but often find myself switching off more nowadays due to some utter drivel that is spouted by the "experts".

Jim White is a show that always gets switched off, despite at times Jordan having some interesting debates.

They obviously say things that are deliberately controversial that will get people to call in and discuss. If they just said the obvious all the time, no one would call.

For me the issue is the talk of managers jumping ship for better things at a critical part of the season. Maybe I'm still burnt by what happened with Wilder and Burnley last season, but I just don't like idea of reporters turning up to our press conferences and putting these questions to Carrick.

Content providers aren't they?

They have to waffle on about something.

I used to like Hawksbee and Jacobs years and years ago but I never listen to talk sport nowadays.
