Tend to agree, thats not the Middlesbrough I recognise and miss. But, I have to concede I bet it does happen. The program though focuses on the worst and makes it look like Jake Plisken is needed.
EDIT: After deliberating, the thing that sticks out for me is that you give kids things to do and places to go for social and support, you'll massively drop kids being drug mules. Youth clubs were brilliant when we were kids.

I didn't realise that Middlesbrough was the 'epecentre of UK crime '.
All the stats per head put it right at the top but that's a little misleading on occasions as population isn't huge and density is quite low compared to some towns and cities

I dare say what was depicted is the reality in pockets of areas. I lived in Hemlington for 20 years and those 2 goons embarrassed the place
