Taco Bell

I don't mind any takeaway/fast food as it's not meant to be a Michelin star restaurant
No, and no one in their right mind would suggest or compare takeaway food to Michelin star food but some takeaway foods are better than others. I'm not a big fan of pizzas or burgers and they would be my last choice. Nando's I have never tried and have never fancied it - I could be missing out, Subway food is poor no matter what country you are in and I would put Taco Bell in the same category as Nando's - never tried.

It might be different if I was still contracting and working away from home, you will put up with any old crap then. ;)

If its terrible, it will close because no-one will go. People don't buy horrible food that doesn't taste nice.

I recall Tim Hortons and Five Guys being given a few months before failing on here when they launched because they were also terrible. Both still busy every time I go to Tees Park and Taco Bell has a decent queue at the drive through every time I've been by. People obviously do like it.

FWIW I’ve only eaten in Taco Bell in the small hours of the morning and every time it’s stood up quite competitively to anything else you’re likely to acquire at that time of day after a bit of a skinful. So that’s all I compare it to.

I don’t think anyone would seriously suggest staying in with a Taco Bell for a milestone wedding anniversary or whatever.

When I was younger I've passed food joints the next day and thought 'did I really eat in there' and whilst working in Govan I even tried a deep fried Mars-Bar.

Oh I’ve had a few of those. When they’re quite lightly battered (almost tempura style) they are quite nice. I had my best one in South Australia of all places.

I don't mind Taco Bell, for a one-off, same as any fast food. It's not brilliant, but it's fast and cheap, which is the point I suppose.

It's better in America though, much more choice and they usually have everything on the menu.

Years ago touring the States via Greyhound whilst a vegetarian they were an absolute godsend. The only places the buses stopped for breaks that sold anything we could eat.

Dirt cheap bean burritos, I'll always love you.
