Taco Bell

Lived in the US for 7 years next week. Never had a Taco Bell!
I was working in new York when I had my first. All my local colleagues were complaining but I got my way. Never again, until I got delayed at Vegas Airport and got a taco voucher for the delay. That was not good either.

I say this as someone who like a McDonald's and kfc

There are always far better options locally for tacos etc than TB.

I am a big fan of Birria tacos, but the only place I've ever seem them in England is in one of the food stalls at Camden Market.

never as good as Texas etc, but next time you're here, try one of these (I assume the Camden place was where you visited):

Birria Tacos London

..... a bit of a trek, but local for me, Taca Tacos in Deptford do a decent job.

Tacos and craft beer - Hither Green Tap Room

Last year this place had a pop up taco stall run by 2 Mexicans ..... may re-appear ..... if you like drinking and eating on a trading estate 😀

I worked for a company hq'd in San Antonio. 53 visits (yes I counted), ask me anything you need to know about the Alamo.

Never had a Taco Bell and I suspect my Texan "co-workers" would have gunned me down if I ever suggested such a thing.

I was once driven 50 miles along I10 to a particular taco stall ..... completely lost on me ....

Actually here Wahaca is not so bad. It once got the seal of approval from a visiting Tex-Mex colleague ("my family didn't cross the border, the border crossed us"). She knew her tacos.

I worked with Tomisina Myers (I've probably worth that wrong) on a charity project in 2008 and have a pre print signed copy of her first cookbook. She was such a lovely person but I never thought that much of Wahaca when we visited
