Supporters want EFL away ticket price cap – survey

What was Man United - £48? and fans on here say £29 at the Riverside is a complete rip off for walk up.
Of course Man United would be £30 in the Premier League but that limit is not enforced in the cups - which just shows how cynical their owners are.

And with the numbers sold it could also be inferred that supporters aren't that bothered about away ticket prices.
Season ticket holders that are used to paying £20 per game don't mind the occasional high ticket price. People that can't afford home tickets at £30+ probably can't afford £48 tickets either. They are different groups of people.

I'd rather see efforts going into reducing home ticket prices before we concentrate on the lucky few saving even more money.

I too would rather the event went into reducing home ticket prices for league games. This tends to affect people on Teesside who are struggling financially.

Last season the cheapest adult ticket was £29 walk up, for adult and child it was £40 (in family end only).

Bring back Pride cards with £5 discount per game (£10 up front) or make the less popular parts of the Riverside £25 adult £35 adult&child.

I will not pay £35 or more for a Championship game or early round FAC/LC game - hence I lost out on the MU nights. But most fans are obvioulsy not like me on this.

Has anyone on this thread actually read the article.
It is about away fans visiting the Riverside or not as the case maybe and saying it is too expensive and they think all EFL grounds should have a price cap for away fans.
Nothing at all to do with what Boro or other clubs charge home fans.

Well it is though because we can only charge away fans what we charge home fans otherwise there'll be some, quite rightly, pretty ***ed off people paying more for their ticket sat right next to the away fans.

Guess how much the away tickets would be if the home tickets were cheaper? You aren't allowed to charge away fans more so by making the home tickets cheaper then the way tickets would automatically be cheaper as well.

I’m all for the price cap. However, I doubt it will have much of an impact at all on attendances from away fans - we’re a long trip for most in the league. Even of the 10 northern teams, most likely only Sunderland and Sheffield United will bring a big following.

Forest and Derby were well followed but both are out the league. West Brom usually travel quite well too.

Reading only charge away fans £20, based on a 'reciprocal' basis.

Surprise, surprise, MFC are one of the few clubs who don't partake in the plan 👎
