Sunderland till I die , season 2 begins on

I still haven’t watched it

I started but then some mackem gobshite came on and said they were one of the greatest clubs in the world or some other bollox so I turned it off.

I should go back to it though afterall we all know how it ended 😆
 
I really enjoyed it - I couldn't give a toss about Sunderland but I'm always fascinated by anything which reveals the inner workings of a football club. You could make a similar documentary about any club and I'd watch it. Really looking forward to the second series.
 
There's a part in it that typifies lots of football fans. Sunderland losing 3 nil at half-time and the fans going nuts and throwing loads of abuse about. They fight back to draw the game and the fans are loving the team! :)

The programme actually shows the people behind the scenes are good honest folk. Love their club and are down to earth. The type we probably have a Boro too. It's hard not to have empathy for those.
 
Well worth watching but as someone said the editing is all over the place, really has been put together badly.
 
I watched it about a month ago when we were in the bottom three and found it quite depressing because it was looking like we could go the same way. That feels like a lifetime ago now.
 
Just watched the first series across 4 days and really enjoyed it.

I found it quite well put together, particularly the music and how the programme flicked from games to fans to behind the scenes. It got under the skin of each so you understand more about the person and how SAFC related to them

An outsider and some the players would better understand the mentality of North East fans after watching the series.

A few telling comments that you never get in conventional media, like a player saying he was surprised that after a poor defeat players were not criticised by the management team (behind closed doors). He implied that he thought the poor behaviour would continue and you could see it was disheartening to him. I know you have to maintain players confidence, but if they are told where they are going wrong and how to improve, some will take it as though they are doing fine.

There was obviously a problem with the spine of the team, too many goalie &,centre half problems and relying on a young and inexperienced Ashley Fletcher as your only forward.

A bit shocked by the scene where an imposing 50 year old fan confronts Chris Coleman outside the front entrance at the end of the game and asks him out.
