He just wants to help us all! (Lol!)So, what’s in it for him?
Yeah, he'll be fineNot sure about the "won't understand the common man" argument. They're not that hard to understand, are they? No great mystery? Whether he cares or not is a different matter.
It's not about understanding the common man, it's about understanding the scale of things. He sees £20 per week cut as £20 of discretionary spending so a bit less at the pub whereas the people that are getting that £20 cut see a choice between heating their house or feeding their kids. He can't possibly comprehend what that decision feels like because he's never had to make that kind of decision. All of the decisions he had ever experienced are about how to get the biggest reward and not how to cause the least damage or how to survive.I'd much rather not have Tory as pm, but I don't see too many options in that party I'd rather have than him.
Truss and the grassroots have made him look a realist by comparison. Still think we need a general election.

I'm not sure the country will accept Austerity2: The Payback...not when gas/power companies are raking in billions. He is a hedge fund creature with no interest or ability in any other field as far as I can see so will therefore be unable to understand or appreciate any matters that do not impinge directly on his fund values e.g. NHS, immigration, Brexit (NI protocol) etc. He will impose austerity 2.0 because it will balance the books' and ultimately help his funds, simple as that. He is after all a committed thatcherite neo-liberal so what else can be expected?
Power, ego, helping his friends become richer! So, what’s in it for him?
