This is the story of Charlton fan Seb Lewis who died of Covid 19 after falling ill not long after our game at the Valley.

Incredibly sad. Thoughts with his family and friends. Sounds a top bloke and big fan. Sobering thought that our game on 7th March was his last and that he may well have contracted it around that time.

And three days later they allowed 200000 to fill Cheltenham festival throughout that week

I'd been out the night before the game for a couple of drinks. Woke up at about 1pm feeling a little ropey then remembered I had a ticket for the game and rushed out. I got on the tube and went a couple of stops and then decided to go back home. I was umming and ahhing about whether I should go to the match or not all the way to the tube and back again. Am I being overcautious and stupid or not. Turned out it was just a bit of a hangover.

RIP Seb

I posted earlier that I thought it was a bit dangerous for matches to be played on March 7th - People had already died in the UK by then and it was obvious the virus was on the loose and it could kill. Cheltenham Festival I think went on to the 19th its truly hard to believe.

Where I volunteer we were told to scrub up and scrub down from the end of February, but we thought touching was the biggest danger now we know its more droplets from nose and mouth, but this was not made clear as it could have been by the Government in early March.
