I notice it's free travel for Stoke fans on Saturday against Boro.
In fact it's free Coach travel for all away games this season.
Nice touch that.
I'm not one to moan about our club but we never do even a one off offer like this for fans.
Not sure it would encourage many more to travel but apart from the Exeter offer we as a club don't give much back to our supporter.
I think the club has got it Spot on regarding the " no more ticket offers for home games" though as it's clearer helped our season tickets sales over the past few years.
It's clear to fans now that Season tickets are the best option.
What a season this is turning out to be though UTB

Exeter City cup tickets spring to mind.

Isn't it being used as an incentive to encourage fans of clubs who are poorly supported away from home? I think due to the numbers we take almost everywhere, there's probably no reason (other than good will / altruism) for MFC to offer much to assist with the numbers of away fans.

Given that we have sold out for Exeter and Plymouth, I don't see why those lucky fans should be rewarded by subsidising their travel? If we were struggling to fill our away allocations I can see the logic, we aren't and in many cases there are plenty who would like to do the away trips that can't get tickets.

Good on Stoke for the gesture, let's hope we can give them a song about it at about 5pm Saturday...

The thing about away travel is loads of Boro fans don’t live in Teesside. Those who do are brilliant at travelling, but it’s not like Boro have 3000k travelling from a TS postcode each away game.

How many going to Exeter and Plymouth live in the South West or South East? How many people are in the South Supporters Club?

It's not a new offer from Stoke.

They've had free away travel since 2013.
It started pre 2013 when they had a massive hooliganism problem and introduced a member scheme for away tickets where you could only travel on official coaches.
It worked to curb their away problems, they dropped the member scheme for away tickets and travel stipulation but retained the free away coach travel offer to their fans.
They coached 45k supporters to away matches in the 5 seasons from 2013, up 40% on previous away support.

I guess it helps having Bet365 funds behind you.
