34000 room bookings, 48000 guests, 75% occupancy, 4.5 rating on tripadvisor

£137,000 profit in apr-Dec period, with a Pre- opening loss of £329,000 recorded in its opening accounts

naturally all the social media moguls that have been desperate for this to fail from the start as there was no demand for a hotel and it’s a waste of money etc are focusing on those pre-opening losses as if they’re unavoidable or unusual, and saying it’s hiding losses.

I think for a new hotel this is an excellent start, only to be improved once the globe opens. Why do people insist Stockton can’t support a hotel when middlesbrough has a traveller. Jury’s inn, premier inn and holiday inn all in the town centre?

The comments on the Gazette were rather amusing. People questioning whether it has made any money after expenses.

If only there was a word for that kind of money left over after overheads and costs are subtracted.

This magical new word could even sound similar to the word 'prophet.'
