Agree and, if he stays fit, he will only get better.Clarke gave away the penalty but I thought we looked a bit more solid at the back when he came on
No Jones next week and we play the third best team in the League. Thats some assumptionThe next two at home to hopefully we get the 6 points
We perform alot better at home than away we concede alot lessNo Jones next week and we play the third best team in the League. Thats some assumption
Iin normal circumstances I would agree but we are deplete with resources for next week so if we get a result I would be amazed. We perform alot better at home than away we concede alot less
What we saying next week judging by the bench of today and assuming no one else is back fit will it be something like ?
dieng
Howson
Rav
Clarke
bangura
Barlaser
Crooks
Rogers
Greenwood
Lath
coburn
My view is that Engel's strengths are mainly attacking, getting down the left hand side and putting the ball across (distinct from crossing, as a lot of the balls he plays are on the ground) or playing Greenwood/Rogers in. He doesn't look particularly strong in defence particularly when players are running at him. If you played him at RB you would lose the main benefit of him in attack and have an average defender.Would it be feasible to play Engel at right back next week(if we still have the injury list we currently have)?
What are the reasons he could or couldn't cover on the opposite side of the pitch for one game?
*This is a genuine question, I'm curious what people's thoughts are on this and why it could or couldn't work.
If we did go with one of Bangura or Engel at Rb it would be Bangura for me. Bangura is a bit more athletic and also from what I have seen is more comfortable on his right ( his goal was with his right) Engels right foot is for standing that’s it. I would play him left backWould it be feasible to play Engel at right back next week(if we still have the injury list we currently have)?

He’s suspendedI have a feeling Jones will be RB against Ipswich if McNair is not fit, no way will Carrick play a left back in the RB position, that is not how the team is set up
Jones is a pretty good defender in all honesty, his is quick and his tacking is generally on point
That would have been the obvious choice if he wasn’t suspended as Carrick has dropped him back there in games beforeI have a feeling Jones will be RB against Ipswich if McNair is not fit, no way will Carrick play a left back in the RB position, that is not how the team is set up
