Still booing the taking the knee

I can’t imagine the club are happy at all about what’s going on.

When opposition fans/staff, media and members of the public watching at home hear loud boos for an anti-racist gesture the logical conclusion would be Middlesbrough is a club that has a problem with racism.

I’m sure if as a anti-monarchist if I’d have booed the minute’s silence for the Queen the same people saying it’s their freedom of speech to boo the knee would have been calling for me to hung, drawn, quartered and banned.
I don't disagree with most of what you have said. If the club are bothered by this, the question remains, why haven't they addressed it?

Has this been mentioned by the club?

Have the fans forum raised it?
Hiya
I have raised the matter with club in person today and via email and given them suggestions on ways they may want to tackle the matter. Trust me when I say that they are listening and are looking to take action. I can keep you all informed, however I'm hopeful that I won't need to as you will see action soon from the club.

How do the club stop it though?
Video? Won't pick up individuals.

Another view on racism for all those who use right wing and Tory as another word for it!!

I’m neither left or right wing btw…

It's not really another view, all this article reveals is that even our political parties are not taking racism seriously and can't get their own houses in order....so tbh it is just revealing that more needs to happen in terms of education on racism and how to address it

It’s 100% another view - it’s the Guardian printing this not the Daily Mail for a start. I’m really shocked by it as I was by the original anti semitism findings. Shows how deep racism goes across UK society

A grid of every season ticket holder and casual purchaser of tickets for the whole stadium. Facial rcognition for every seat and entrant to the stadium. Higlight within seconds through control room. Identify, arrest, isolate.

It's not another view in terms of the topic of this thread though? I don't think anyone has mentioned the political alliance of those booing

How do you pick up sound from one seat to the next?

As I said it's not another view on taking of the knee as this article is mentioning nothing about that. What the article quite clearly demonstrates is that not only is work around anti semitism poor within the Labour party but so is anti Islamaphobia and anti racism work. But I am happy to agree to disagree on the matter it is a different view, but I totally agree with you in terms of the article highlighting how bad things are in terms of political parties doing any work around anti work on all fronts.

Legality wise it's incredibly hard to differ between a "boo" or "shouting" or "general chit chat"
If a football club decides to eject a person from their property whom they suspect is breaching their rules - thats their decision.
Thats my stand on it and Im not arguing.
Good morning by the way. (y)

It’s a ‘Boro’ thing

I went to Lincoln v Peterboro yesterday
Lincoln took the knee, Peterboro didn’t. Would have thought Darren Ferguson would have a view….

I'm not arguing either roofie. But what you want won't work.

So yesterday both teams did not take the knee and there was no booing. Don't know if it was decided before hand by players or not but on one hand I'm pleased they didn't take the knee as it was Preston's Gentry day and it would have been not only disrespectful to players taking the knee but to Gentry day for Preston. On the other hand I'm disappointed the knee wasn't taken because I'm wondering if the players gave into the booing.

A message still has to come out from the club either way on the booing and further work needs to happen on anti racism
