Not an attitude problem if his development just isn’t there yet or he’s suffered an injury.

I hope he’s making it back in the game. Must be so difficult mentally to keep that determination and discipline to get up to an elite level. Plenty of warning with how players have let themselves slip and the success stories look all to easy!!
 
On the subject of youth players disappearing as mentioned earlier Brad James hasn't played a game since August 2021 but has been injured. Cain Sykes also hasn't featured at all this season (last game April 2022)

2018/19 - League Two - 7 appearances
2019/20 - Championship - 7 appearances/League Two - 5 appearances
2020/21 - League One - 18 appearences
2021/22 - League Two - 0 appearences - 3 EFL Tropy Appearences - 11 PL2
2022/23 - January he disapeared off the clubs website..
2023/24 - Trail with Carlisle and signs for West Auckland Town

I'm assuming it is down to this injury that he's had.. shame really.. looked VERY promising

2021/22 - 4th
2022/23 - INJURY
2023/24 - 9th

Still only 22yo.. hopefully he can rescue having a career in the game.

Surely Hartlepool or york would be an option didnt he play u21 as well
 
That is a huge drop - was at least thinking he might be looking at NL or NLN level. Hopefully he is looking at other career avenues just in case he doesn't kick on from part time football.

Shocking as he was tipped for the big time once yo him fall so much

Never really happened for him did it.
