and his daft suggestion that he would take the MP to court for libel, just made it worse, as it adds to the charge that his judgement is poor, and he threatens a defence with lies.

Yes I agree
Labour are unpopular with manyon Teesside currently (came 3rd in a by-election a week or so ago that they'd won last time round), so Turner will have the anti-Labour support

He won't have any influence over the publication of the findings, more so given the public interest attracted by his position.
